Hands-On Drone Flight Training – DJI Matrice 200 Series
We instruct hands-on with students using all flight modes. Flight system specific information that may be covered includes initial setup, upgrading firmware on both the flight system and batteries, charging and maintaining the dual battery system, installing and using DJI apps, labeling all switches on the remote controller, using remote controller settings for different modes, component maintenance and replacement, geo-fencing, extreme weather usage, operating the flight simulator internal to the system, and utilizing the onboard SDK. Hands-on practice may include calibration using the DJI calibration pad, take-off and landing using both automatic and manual modes, hovering using the vision positioning system, using the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system, obstacle avoidance, Course Lock, Home Lock, Point of Interest, Follow Me, Waypoints, Sport Mode, TapFly, follow-me using ActiveTrack, Atti Mode, return-to-home, FPV and main camera operation, multiple payload configurations, and emergency procedures. We also cover additional practical topics including charging batteries in the field and connecting external monitors, and we provide tips and tricks to maximize the performance and functionality of the system.
One-day classes ($545) and two-day classes ($995) are available. Students may bring their own flight system, and training is currently offered at our Canandaigua, NY location during business hours. Advance registration is required.
